So much to do, so little time.

This year promises to be choc-a-block full of really great events. While I can't give you the whole scoop, I can entice you with a little bit of what's in store for 2007:

THE BEDROOM MUSICIAN SERIES

With the help of Brabons Entertainment, I launched this project in December. I wanted a wholesome avenue for secret songwriters to come out of their bedrooms and showcase their music. So far, I have been overwhelmed with the enthusiastic response and even more pleasantly surprised with the very high level of musicality the acts we've hosted have displayed!

THE BATHROOM SINGERS SERIES

This is a sister project of the Bedroom Musician Series and is specifically for singers. While we were searching for songwriters, we received a lot of interest from singers who did not write their own music who really wanted to perform. I decided that all these secret superstars deserved a chance to strut their stuff on stage too! :)

All going well, the first Bathroom Singers event will be launched in March. Want to know more? Check out my NEWS page.


Don't worry, folks, I haven't forgotten about that wonderful thing called JAZZ! ;) I am currently deep in discussion with two very promising bands. I can't tell you much just yet, but suffice to say that we're already looking at something in March and another in May.

MY FIRST SINGLE,'SAYANG' IS OUT!

My very first solo single was launched on the 3rd of September at the Digi Starbucks Music Series Outdoor Concert. Since then, I have been receiving very impatient questions about my full album. Progress on the album has been slow going, mainly because I was very busy at the end of last year, and all the holidays broke up our flow of work.

As I speak, however, I am already picking up where I left off. I will continue to update you about my progress, and I will definitely provide you with a release date as soon as I can!

(Note: I have tried my best to capture and conserve the essence of this song in the English translation of it. The word 'sayang' is a Malay term of affection, which generally means 'darling' or 'my love'. It can also mean 'love' in general. In this case, I feel that 'my love' applies best to this song.)
